What's Our Story?

Magnetic Mobile has been a part of the Marxent family for over five years. We started as a small team of dedicated developers on one primary account, as the Retail Loyalty Division of Marxent. Today, we have grown to a dynamic team that includes project managers, designers, user experience specialists, quality control and business intelligence analysts working across multiple accounts.

Our growth has been organic and our approach simple: always pick up the phone and stay devoted to your partner's success. We are proud of our midwest roots, and happy to call Dayton, Ohio our permanent home.

Beck Besecker

Beck Besecker


Beck Besecker is the co-founder and CEO of Magnetic Mobile. Prior to co-founding Magnetic and sister company Marxent in 2011, Beck spent 13 years building interactive marketing solutions for Fortune 500 retailers and brands, including Target Stores and Tesco. In 1999, he founded Copient Technologies which enabled large retailers to easily manage personalized promotions in-store and online. Copient was acquired by NCR in 2003. Beck then served as EVP of New Business at Catalina Marketing, the nation's largest in-store promotional network. He currently serves on the board of InStream Global.

Barry Besecker

Barry Besecker


Barry Besecker is the co-founder and CTO of Magnetic Mobile. Prior to co-founding Magnetic and sister company Marxent in 2011, Barry developed groundbreaking new retail technology for Copient, that was acquired by NCR in 2003. He then spent 10 years building software and architecting web platforms for major brands such as Pfizer, Exxon Mobil and Miller Coors, leading the digital marketing practice as a VP at an Ohio-based software development firm. Barry is an accomplished martial arts practitioner and holds a purple belt in JiuJitsu.

VP of IT

Paul brings a wealth of information technology experience spanning close to 20 years in the industry. Prior to being Vice President of IT for Magnetic Mobile, Paul served as General Manager of the company's general operations. He was the Software Development Manager and Technical Lead for 10 years, leading teams that built web service platforms and mobile client applications for workflow management systems. He has been a driving force in increasing the operational scale Magnetic Mobile, while continually pushing the team to innovate. Paul's most powerful contribution to the team is his ability to take complex business problems and distill them into simple steps that lead to an elegant solution.

Jessi Sparks

Jessi has been working in digital technologies for over 15 years. She lead all the digital properties for Wright State Univeristy for over 7 years before coming to Magnetic. In that time she won several Hermes Addy Awards for Design and was named a "Responsive Web Trail Blazer" in Higher Education. Since coming to Magentic she has done extensive User Experience research, Customer Experience, Digital Stratgey, and is considered an expert in the topic of Web Accessbility. Today she leads our client engagements and is strong voice for the customer in all our work.

Steve has been working in marketing, project and product management, for the last five years. Steve is a registered Professional Scrum Master and specializes in leading the Agile development workflow process at Magnetic Mobile. Steve's previous work history includes: international product management, quality assurance, and product support. With years of project management experience and an attention to detail, Steve brings focused attention to our product offerings and superior customer experience to our clients.
